BEGINNER COURSE
The PowerPoint presentation for the beginner course provides a simple and visual introduction to basic sailing with NTNUI’s boats, mainly the Yngling. It covers safety, boat handling, sail setup, rigging, and maneuvers – with a focus on making new sailors feel confident and ready to sail as part of a crew. The presentation is used as support during the theoretical part of the course before heading out on the water.

Yngling tuning guide
“Ullman Sails Yngling Tuning Guide” is a detailed guide written by Dayne Sharp for optimal rigging and sail trim of the Yngling class, based on experience from Olympic campaigns. The document covers everything from mast and rig setup to fine-tuning for various wind conditions. It includes specific measurements, use of a Loos tension gauge, and tips to ensure proper balance, straight masts, and efficient sail handling. A valuable resource for both racing sailors and training teams.
Yngling Damage Report Form
The form is used to report damage or wear that the Yngling committee can follow up on and repair if needed.
