Starting your studies in Trondheim this autumn?
Congratulations on your place – and welcome to NTNUI and NTNUI Sailing, the student sailing club!
Learn to sail in Trondheim
Want to learn how to sail? We organise beginner sailing courses every autumn at the start of the semester and again around Easter in spring. This autumn, the course runs from 29–31 August, with a check-out session for experienced sailors on 29 August. Registration opened on 9 August and sold out instantly – there’s always high demand! If you missed out this time, the next course and check-out will be in spring.
A vibrant sailing community with regattas and training
This summer we’ve been active on the water, competing in events such as the Grundig Women’s Regatta, the Sailing League – Event 2 in Hankø, and Hankø Race Week. This coming weekend, eight of our members will head to Arendal for the Sailing League – Event 3, and on 23–24 August we’re entering three teams in the Norwegian Women’s Championship in J/70 in Oslo.
Student sailing all semester
The semester in Trondheim kicks off in week 34 with weekly training sessions and Wednesday evening races in Yngling. Sign-ups are handled through Spond. Our Melges boats are currently stored in Fredrikstad after Hankø Race Week, returning to Trondheim for training from 8 September after the Melges Norwegian Championship.
