Volunteer work

Volunteer work is an important part of sailing. We constantly work to maintain the standard of our boats, and we need your help to keep things running smoothly.

Normally, we organize two volunteer events each year, focusing on launching and winter storage respectively. These take place at Skansen, where the boats are located in the harbor and in winter storage.

Volunteering is a great way to become familiar with both the boats and other sailing enthusiasts. We at NTNUI Sailing recommend that you participate in these events to lend a hand and experience all aspects of sailing. You’ll have the chance to meet our board members and other eager members, and engage in conversations. It’s also crucial that you ensure the boats are emptied of water before and after sailing and that you leave the boats in better condition than you found them.

Additionally, we have two committees, the Melges24 Technical Committee and the Yngling Technical Committee, which focus on maintaining the Yngling and Melges24 boats throughout the year. If this sounds exciting to you and you’re interested in participating, feel free to send an email to seiling-leder@ntnui.no.

Thank you for stepping up and helping us provide sailing opportunities for everyone!
