Season has now started in full swing and we have held this year’s first beginner’s course. It’s incredibly fun to see how many people want to learn how to sail and participate in NTNUI Sailing. We hope that all participants found it to be an educational weekend with great experiences, and we hope to see many new faces at future training sessions! If you didn’t get a spot in the spring course, just keep an eye out at the beginning of the fall semester.
Moving forward, it’s full speed ahead for NTNUI Sailing. Already this coming weekend, April 29-30, we are organizing the NTNUI Invitationals. This will be a weekend filled with regattas and social activities. We look forward to seeing our sailors test themselves in proper regattas and put into practice some of what we’ve learned from Trim and Tactics with Ullman Sails.
Just one week after that, our two teams will travel to Ålesund to sail in the first Seilsportsliga competition of the year. Like last year, we are fortunate to be able to field two teams, one in the first division and one in the elite series. This means we can bring up to eight sailors to each competition!
