NTNUI Sailing

Welcome to NTNUI Sailing!

NTNUI Sailing is a vibrant and inclusive student group focused on keelboat sailing. We train and compete in both Yngling and Melges 24 boats, offering everything from beginner sessions to high-level regattas across Norway and abroad.

Our members range from seasoned sailors to complete beginners. All you need to join is a willingness to learn and be part of a fun, active community.

Beginner course

New to sailing? Our beginner course is the perfect place to start. You’ll learn the fundamentals of sailing in a safe and social environment — no prior experience needed. Join us for hands-on training, meet fellow students, and get out on the water with NTNUI Sailing!

Weekly Training Sessions

Whether you’re looking to improve your skills or prepare for regattas, our training sessions offer something for all levels. Join regular practices, get coaching from experienced sailors, and become part of our active and inclusive sailing community.

Rent a boat

As a member of NTNUI Sailing, you can rent our boats for personal use — and yes, you can bring your friends! Whether you’re planning a relaxed trip on the fjord or want to practice your skills, our fleet is ready for you. Just book, rig, and sail!

Seilsportligaen

Each year, NTNUI Sailing competes in Seilsportsligaen — Norway’s national sailing league. It’s a great arena for student sailors to race against the best clubs in the country, gain experience, and represent NTNUI on a national level.
